ClickRout Privacy Policy

THE SHORT VERSION: ClickRout routes your files directly from your iPhone to your own cloud storage accounts. We never see, store, or have access to your files or their contents. Your data stays yours.


1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information you provide directly:

  • Display name: An optional name you can set within the app. Stored locally on your device and synced via iCloud if enabled.
  • Email address: Associated with your Google Drive or Dropbox account when you connect those services. We do not store your email — it is retrieved from the service’s API and displayed in the app only.

Information collected automatically:

  • Subscription status: Whether you are a Free or Pro subscriber. Managed entirely by Apple’s App Store — we do not process or store payment information.
  • App preferences: Your pinned folders, Smart Rules, destination presets, and settings. Stored locally on your device and optionally synced via iCloud.
  • Save history: A local log of files you have routed through ClickRout, including file name, file type, destination folder name, and timestamp. This data never leaves your device unless you enable iCloud sync.

Information we do NOT collect:

  • The contents of any file you save through ClickRout
  • Your precise location
  • Your contacts or address book
  • Your browsing history
  • Any analytics or behavioral tracking data
  • Device identifiers used for advertising


2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the limited information we collect solely to:

  • Operate and improve the ClickRout app
  • Authenticate your connected cloud storage accounts (Google Drive, Dropbox)
  • Sync your app preferences across your devices via iCloud (if enabled)
  • Verify and manage your Pro subscription status through Apple’s StoreKit
  • Respond to your support requests when you contact us

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers. We do not use your data to build advertising profiles.


3. FILE HANDLING AND CLOUD STORAGE

ClickRout never stores your files on our servers — because we don’t have servers that handle your files. When you use ClickRout to save a file:

  1. The file is received by the ClickRout Share Extension directly from the sharing app on your iPhone
  2. ClickRout uses the official API of your chosen cloud service to upload the file directly from your iPhone to your cloud account
  3. The file goes straight from your device to your cloud storage — it never passes through ClickRout infrastructure
  4. For iPhone / iCloud saves, files are written directly to your device’s local storage using iOS file system APIs

OAuth tokens: When you connect Google Drive or Dropbox, the access token is stored securely in your device’s iOS Keychain — an encrypted, sandboxed storage system managed by iOS. These tokens are never transmitted to ClickRout servers.

iCloud sync: If enabled, your app preferences and save history are synced via Apple’s iCloud Key-Value Store. This data is governed by Apple’s iCloud privacy policy.


4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Google Drive (Google LLC): Used to save files to your Google Drive folders. ClickRout requests only the drive.file scope, limiting access to files created or opened by ClickRout. Google’s Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy

Dropbox (Dropbox, Inc.): Used to save files to your Dropbox folders. Dropbox’s Privacy Policy: dropbox.com/privacy

Apple App Store / StoreKit: Subscription purchases handled entirely by Apple. ClickRout never sees your payment information. Apple’s Privacy Policy: apple.com/legal/privacy

ClickRout does not use any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or crash reporting services that transmit data off your device.


5. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

On your device: App preferences, pinned folders, save history, and display name are stored locally using iOS secure storage. OAuth tokens are stored in iOS Keychain.

No ClickRout servers: We do not operate servers that store your files, credentials, or personal data. There is no ClickRout account to create or manage.

Data retention: Your data persists as long as ClickRout is installed. If you delete the app, all locally stored data is deleted by iOS.


6. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PURCHASES

ClickRout Pro subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. ClickRout never sees, processes, or stores your payment information. We receive only a confirmation of subscription status from Apple.

To manage or cancel your subscription: iPhone Settings → Your Name → Subscriptions → ClickRout.


7. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

ClickRout is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete such information.


8. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

To delete your data:

  • Save history: Settings → Data → Clear Recent Files
  • Pinned folders: Settings → Data → Clear All Destinations
  • All app data: Delete the ClickRout app — iOS removes all associated data
  • Google Drive access: myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party apps
  • Dropbox access: dropbox.com → Settings → Connected Apps

California residents (CCPA): ClickRout does not sell personal information.

EU/UK residents (GDPR): You have rights including access, rectification, erasure, and data portability. Most can be exercised directly within the app. Contact us below for additional requests.


9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of ClickRout after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
